As such, you’ll probably know that many Aga models need servicing to keep them in good condition and running smoothly, but do you know if, or how often your model should be serviced? In this article, we discuss the Aga models that need servicing, and how often they should be serviced, as well as whether or not you can do it yourself.

So, how often should you service an Aga? Most Aga cookers that need servicing should be done so every 12 months. However, some models will only need a full service every 5 years, and a traditional oil Aga should be serviced every 6 months. That being said, there are a number of Aga cookers that don’t require servicing at all.

How Often Should You Have an Aga Serviced?

Different models of Aga cookers need servicing at different intervals due to their build and performance requirements. Below you’ll find information on how often different models should have an Aga service, as recommended by Aga.

What Does an Aga Service Include?

When you book an Aga service, the engineer will perform a number of tasks, which will differ slightly depending on your model. However, common features of an Aga service include:

• Testing of controls and inner components to ensure that everything is working correctly
• Testing of safety devices
• Cleaning of vents to remove debris build-up
• Replacement or repair of any components as necessary

Can You Service an Aga Yourself?

If absolutely necessary, you can perform an Aga service yourself, however it’s important that you are confident in what you’re doing, and are competent enough to not damage your Aga cooker in the process.
