Aga Models & Makes We Buy
Explore the Range Exchange selection of Aga cooker makes and models, including models we buy and don’t buy.
Not all Aga cookers are created equal.
While they all share that classic cast-iron look and reputation for longevity, some makes and models are better suited for reconditioning, resale, and modern kitchens.
That’s why the Aga models we buy tend to fit into certain categories and strike the right balance between age, condition, technology, and demand.
We’re passionate about giving used Agas a second life — but to ensure a smooth process (and the best value for you), we’re selective about the models we collect. This page outlines what we do and don’t accept, along with how to get a fast valuation if you’re unsure about your model.

Eligible Models & Types – What We're Looking For
We accept a wide range of Aga cookers, especially those under 10 years old, in full or mostly complete condition and suited for reconditioning. Not all Agas are suitable for reconditioning, despite their age.
Here are the Aga models we’re currently buying:
-
1
Aga Total Control
-
2
Aga Dual Control
-
3
Aga R3 Series
-
4
Aga R7 Series
-
5
Aga ER3 and ER7
-
6
Aga City 60
We’re especially interested in electric models, as these are the most popular with modern buyers due to their efficiency and flexibility – a lot of people search for ‘sell my Aga R7’ because it’s so popular.
That’s not to say that gas isn’t still popular. Some of our customers prefer that almost nostalgic feel and overall cooking experience of gas models.
If your cooker fits into one of these categories — even if it’s not perfect — we want to hear from you. Explore our full list of Aga cooker models here.
Fuel Types We Accept – Electric Models in High Demand
Fuel type plays a big role in resale and reconditioning value. Electric Aga cookers for sale are by far the most popular and sought-after, as we just said, especially as households move away from oil and gas. That’s why we’re particularly keen on acquiring:
Electric Agas
- Dual Control and Total Control models are all highly desirable.
- We also accept 13-amp and 30-amp units.
- If you’ve upgraded to electric in the past decade, there’s a very good chance your cooker qualifies.
Gas & Oil Models
We also buy many gas and oil models, though pricing and eligibility depend on their condition and completeness. If they’ve been serviced regularly and haven’t been modified, they’re usually good candidates.
If your cooker hasn’t been used in a while, don’t worry — even idle units can be restored if they’ve had the proper care and attention over the years.
If you’re not sure what model you have, our team will be happy to assist you in finding the specific make and model of your Aga cooker. However, it’s easy to tell the difference between a gas and an electric cooker.
What We Don't Buy
To ensure we maintain our high standards of reconditioning and customer satisfaction, there are a few models and scenarios we don’t accept.
Here’s what falls outside our buying criteria:
Solid Fuel Agas
While iconic, these are less practical for modern use and are rarely in demand.
Converted Agas
If your cooker has been retrofitted with third-party electric kits or modified significantly from its original state, we’re unlikely to buy it. These conversions can compromise safety, reliability, and restoration value.
Rayburn Cookers
Although made by the same parent brand, Rayburns serve a different purpose (often combining heating and cooking), and we don’t currently collect or recondition them.
Rangemaster or Other Imitation Brands
We specialise exclusively in Agas. While similar in look, Rangemaster and other replica brands are outside our scope.
Incomplete Units
Cookers that are significantly stripped down (missing doors, lids, ovens, and other issues) may not be eligible unless used purely for parts. Contact us to check.
If you’re unsure which category your Aga falls into, don’t worry — we can help. Before selling, it’s also worth reading our guide to preparing your AGA for sale to avoid common mistakes.
Not Sure What Model You Have?
You’re not alone.
Many sellers don’t know their exact Aga model — and that’s perfectly normal. Agas don’t always come with labels or paperwork, especially if they’ve been in the home for decades. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get a fast and accurate quote.
Here’s what to do.
Take a few clear photos
Snap the front of the cooker, the top, the oven doors, and the control panel (if present). These images can tell us everything we need to identify the model, fuel type, and condition.
Tell us where you are
Include your postcode in the message — it helps us work out logistics and timing for collection.
Include any extra information.
If you know when it was installed, how often it’s been serviced, or whether it’s still in use, that’s useful — but not essential.
Once we receive your info, we’ll get back to you quickly with a valuation and a collection plan. There’s no pressure and no obligation.
Quick Comparison Table: What We Do and Don't Buy
To summarise, we’ve put the information into an easy-to-follow table for you:
We Buy | We Don’t Buy |
---|---|
Electric Agas (Total Control, R3, Dual, etc.) | Solid fuel Agas |
Gas & oil models (working or complete) | Converted Agas (with third-party kits) |

Recently decommissioned units | Rangemaster and imitation brands |
